Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Basilica, in Yamoussoukro, the political capital of Côte d'Ivoireis one of the largest Catholic churches in the world, and the second tallest Christian building in the world behind the Main Church in Ulm. It was built on the initiative of the country's first president, Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
Visits to the Basilica must be accompanied by a guide. The guided tour includes a tour of the sanctuary, the Apostles' ambulatory and the galleries.
